Controlled Paper Stock
The SuperBusinessCheck is made with exclusively manufactured and tightly
controlled premium-grade security paper, which is nearly impossible for
criminals to obtain.
Fluorescent Ink
Under UV light, an authentic seal and Mr. Abagnale's "signature" appear on the
back of the SuperBusinessCheck, which serves to authenticate the check as original.
Fluorescent Fibers
The paper used for the SuperBusinessCheck contains ultraviolet light-sensitive
fibers that fluoresce under UV light and further serve as an authentication tool.
Chemically Reactive Paper
The SuperBusinessCheck reacts to 85 different chemicals. When chemically
washed, the SuperBusinessCheck and its chemical wash detection box discolor,
and no longer look like the original document.
Chemically Reactive Ink
The dark blue border is printed with chemically reactive SIPCA ink and
disappears when soaked in acetone, a criminal's "chemical of choice."
Toner Anchorage
The SuperBusinessCheck is treated with toner anchorage that bonds the toner
onto the paper when printed with a laser printer. Without toner anchorage,
criminals can alter laser checks by lifting off the printing with plastic tape.
Copy Void Pantograph
This patented security feature is an indiscernible dot pattern designed into
the background of the check. When the check is copied or scanned by most
copiers, the word "void" appears and invalidates the copy.
Microprinting
The SuperBusinessCheck contains printing so small that it appears as a solid
line to the human eye. When scanned or photocopied, microprinting will often
blur on the copy.
